▶Objectives
The project aimed to address eco-anxiety by equipping students and educators with knowledge, skills, and strategies to understand, manage, and take action on climate-related concerns. We sought to raise awareness of eco-anxiety, integrate it into climate education, and help participants develop soft skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and resilience. A key goal was to promote eco-entrepreneurship, encouraging students to explore sustainable business models while learning about organic agriculture and seed preservation. To engage students effectively, we enhanced digital literacy through ecology-based games, making climate education interactive and relevant. The project also aimed to increase awareness of waste management, helping participants adopt sustainable daily habits through hands-on activities. Lastly, we prioritized dissemination of best practices at school and community levels, ensuring that the project’s impact extends beyond its direct participants and fosters a lasting culture of climate awareness and responsible action.
▶Activities
The project implemented interdisciplinary activities to address eco-anxiety, develop soft skills, and promote sustainability. In Art of Waste for Meditation, participants explored art and handcrafting as stress relief tools while raising climate awareness by creating art from waste, upcycling items, and using embroidery with recycled materials. The Digi-Eco Games activity focused on digital literacy and climate education. Students analyzed pollution data, created eco-mind maps and videos, and designed interactive quizzes and games about environmental protection. The Eco-entrepreneur activity introduced social entrepreneurship in sustainability. Participants visited eco-businesses, explored organic farming, learned about sustainable transport, and attended a yoga session to connect mental well-being with ecology. A live radio program helped disseminate insights. The Green Transition activity combined modern and traditional sustainability approaches, exploring business innovation, organic food production, and climate anxiety management. Workshops, peer-led training, school initiatives, and media dissemination ensured a lasting impact.
▶Impact
The project produced concrete outputs through hands-on workshops, digital tools, and interdisciplinary activities. Participants developed soft skills through eco-entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and sustainability-focused initiatives. In Estonia, participants explored the green transition by visiting innovation hubs, organic food producers, and sustainability-focused businesses. Workshops linked traditional knowledge with modern solutions to promote climate-conscious decision-making. In Turkey, activities combined eco-art, hiking, and storytelling. Participants created furniture from waste, attended stone painting and jewelry workshops, and reflected on emotional responses to climate change through storytelling. In Romania, students created digital games on climate issues, analyzed pollution data, and took part in environmental education at research institutes. Visits to a water conservation center deepened their understanding of human impact. In Italy, participants debated eco-anxiety, attended a climate forecasting workshop, and engaged in sustainable tourism. The DJWork web radio session spread insights to a wider audience. Workshops, exhibitions, peer-led training, and digital dissemination ensured long-term impact.
