Make peace visible - European youth as agents of social

Objectives 1. Strengthen the social inclusion, active citizenship, positive mental health and interest in social action of European youth by offering them a collective, meaningful experience of building peace together. 2. Provide the professionals in formal- and non-formal education the tools to support youth in their growth as active citizens and members of their community. 3. Strengthen the conditions for peace and democracy on a large scale by making the results visible for the European audiences. Activities The project offers the training, tools and action weeks of Gutsy Go -method to the eighth graders of 3 middle schools and professionals in Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm. The activities include: - 3 action weeks - 3 coach trainings - 30 peace projects by youth - production of 30 videos - 6 local premieres - 1 international action week - publication of the videos on media - communications and media relations - production of material packages for formal- and non-formal education Impact The youth will have gained a powerful experience of active citizenship as peace builders in their own communities enhancing the well-being of hundreds of local people. Through the media their action will have reached hundreds of thousands, making visible their potential and inspiring other European youth to take initiative for peace. Professionals from 3 countries will have gained experience of a new collective approach and tools to support the social inclusion and active citizenship of youth.
