Schoolture project is inspired by the need to include more innovative, flexible, and related to current challenges educational materials and themes in school environments. In this way all members of school communities will gain a holistic knowledge on how to co-create educational material related to climate change and its environmental and cultural dimensions while these will be tested in international school communities. In more detail, the project context is achieved through the following objectives: Obj.1: to build the capacity of partners to collaborate transnationally and collaboratively. Obj.2: to provide innovative, contemporary, and co-designed educational programs to the school community. Obj.3: to develop a methodology on adjustable (in terms of educational level, country & content) educational programs. Obj.4: to engage local school communities in co-creating educational programs related to CC. Obj.5: to raise awareness on the spatial, environmental & cultural dimension of climate change within a city environment.

The aforementioned objectives were met through the implementation of 4 Activities: โ Activity 1: Project management and quality control. โ Activity 2: Co-designing of educational programs about CC โ The Guide. โ Activity 3: School Workshops. โ Activity 4: Dissemination & Sustainability. All the abovementioned activities were implemented successfully and timely, through subtasks as shown below: Task 1.1 Project manual and guidelines for partners Task 1.2 Transnational Project Meetings (online) Task 1.3 Monitoring and Quality Assurance Plan Task 2.1 Schoolture Guide Task 2.2 Internal training session for partners - building a common strategy and learning together** Task 2.3 Participation Plans for each school (2) Task 3.1 Workshop No1: Preliminary Workshop with teachers & parents or guardians (1 in each country/school) Task 3.2 Workshop No2-4: 3 Co-design Workshops with students for each school (8 in total) Task 3.3 Summary workshops reports (2) Task 4.1 Dissemination Plan Task 4.2 Development of a Dissemination Material portfolio Task 4.3 Project networking Task 4.4 Final project events / multiplier events one at each school
โถImpact
The abovementioned activities were met by fulfilling the following expected results: *1 Internal training session for partners (22/10/2023). *at least 4 of trained partner staff from 2 countries - hybrid event (3 partner staff from SPATIA and 4 from COMMONSPACE). *1 Guide to co-create Educational Programs (Completed in 3 languages, Greek, English and Polish). *2 Participation plans (one for each country, both in native languages and English). *2 Pilots in 2 countries (one pilot educational program per country). *8 Workshops (The workshops implemented were 11). *2 Summary reports per pilot case (one summary report per pilot). *2 Online repositories (Padlet) (one padlet per pilot). *2 Final events, 1 in each country with at least 40 participants in each physical event (80 total). The events took place on 10/5/2024 in Poland and 24/5/2024 in Greece with more than 100 participants overall. *2 Cultural products. The co-creation of a rain garden in Poland and the Masterplan of Agia Eleni park in Greece alongside additional cultural outcomes such as comic book strips (Greece) and a logo plaque for the garden (Poland).
