The primary objective of the E-DEI IN VET project was to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. We aimed to develop and disseminate a comprehensive DEI methodology, including a practical handbook and video training materials, to equip VET trainers and professionals with the skills necessary for fostering inclusive learning environments. By implementing the DEI approach in VET, we sought to reduce discrimination and promote equity in educational settings and the broader workplace. Additionally, the project aimed to facilitate the exchange of good practices and experiences in DEI among VET professionals across Europe, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable VET sector. Through these efforts, we aimed to empower VET trainers and students, enhancing their awareness and competencies in DEI, ultimately fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect for diversity within the VET community and beyond.

In the E-DEI IN VET project, we implemented several key activities to achieve our objectives in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the VET sector. Firstly, we conducted comprehensive research to gather existing materials and insights, laying the groundwork for our DEI methodology. Based on this research, we developed a detailed training handbook and created video materials to facilitate DEI learning among VET professionals. We then designed and executed two pilot workshops in Greece and Italy, where VET trainers were trained using our developed materials, ensuring practical application and real-world relevance of our methodology. These workshops also served as a platform for feedback, allowing us to refine our approach. Simultaneously, we developed an eLearning platform, which hosts the DEI training handbook, video materials, and other resources, making them accessible to VET trainers and professionals across Europe. This platform ensures the sustainability and widespread dissemination of the project's outcomes. Throughout the project, we also focused on sharing knowledge and good practices, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration among VET professionals, and enhancing the overall impact of the project.

The E-DEI IN VET project yielded significant outputs and results, effectively advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the VET sector. Key concrete outputs included: DEI Training Handbook: A comprehensive guide outlining methodologies for integrating DEI principles into VET, serving as a vital resource for VET trainers and professionals. Video Training Materials: A series of educational videos complementing the handbook, providing visual and interactive learning experiences on DEI topics. eLearning Platform: An accessible platform hosting the handbook and video materials, ensuring widespread dissemination and availability for VET educators and trainers across Europe. Pilot Workshops: Two practical workshops conducted in Greece and Italy, where VET trainers applied the DEI methodology, enhancing their skills and promoting the adoption of inclusive practices. The project's impact extended beyond these outputs, fostering a network of VET professionals engaged in DEI, enhancing awareness and competencies in inclusivity, and setting a foundation for ongoing DEI initiatives within the VET sector.
