The main objective of the COMPALITY project has been to train vocational training students and professionals to design, implement and evaluate equality plans in companies. Through various activities, participants have learned about national and European legislation on equality in companies, learned to write an equality plan in accordance with the law, implement it in any organization and evaluate its compliance. As a result of participants offering to design a tailored equality plan for companies, the number of companies that have the aforementioned equality plan in their company will increase. Finally, another very important objective has been to extend equal behavior between men and women in business organizations.

The 'Companies for Equality' project has consisted of training VET students and other professionals in the private sector to learn how to design, implement and evaluate an equality plan in a private company. Our organization has been providing career guidance workshops to vocational training students for more than 4 years. From our experience with them, we had detected that they do not receive any training related to the current legislation on equality plans in the company. In this sense, in May 2021 we conducted a questionnaire among the students who attended our workshops about their job expectations and almost 80% responded that they wanted to work in a private company or create their own company. Based on this data, we thought that this project could be of great interest since thanks to the training received by the students, the legislation on this matter would be complied with, while their employability would be improved, in the sense that they would get closer to the reality of companies and it would be an added value in their curriculum to have training in equality and to know how to implement and/or evaluate the equality plan of the company in which they work.
