Media and ethical journalism promotion: to highlight journalism as a tool for promoting social responsibility, emphasising ethical practices in the media. Raising awareness of critical media consumption: to educate students about the value of critically evaluating media sources and to promote a discerning approach to information. Raising awareness of sustainable journalism principles: to highlight the importance of sustainable journalism in addressing societal challenges by linking journalism to economic, environmental and social sustainability. Enable students to conduct media analysis: to develop skills in basic (mass) media analysis, enabling students to critically evaluate information and contribute to the creation of sustainable newsrooms. Encouraging critical and analytical thinking: to develop the ability to critically analyse information and promote a thoughtful approach to media content. Fostering intercultural communication skills: to enhance students' ability to communicate effectively in different cultural contexts, thereby contributing to global awareness. Increasing students' intercultural competence and EU knowledge: to increase students' understanding of different cultures and their knowledge of the EU.

Activity 1 : Wiki Platform on Sustainable Journalism The partners designed, created, and developed a Wiki Platform on Sustainable Journalism, which includes a series of multilingual training modules on sustainable journalism. Link to the platform : https://www.eurwrite.org/home-page The modules provide high school teachers with innovative teaching techniques, as well as educational material, that can be used in the classroom. The Wiki Platform on Sustainable Journalism provides for the digitalisation of these training modules, allowing them to complement the more traditional curriculum. Activity 2 : Co-creation of sustainable school newsrooms Peer review workshops with educational institutions have been used for this evaluation procedure to assess the Wiki Platform. Hybrid in person and online workshops have been implemented. The workshops included the validation of the Wiki Platform (Activity 1) that can be used as an educational base to create/renovate the schools’ newsrooms. The workshops provided further assistance and support on the ideas of sustainable newsrooms that will emerge from the schools involved.

Activity 1 : One Wiki Platform on Sustainable Journalism - three interactive modules on sustainable journalism, presented in 4 different languages (EN, IT, FR, LT) 1. What is sustainable journalism? 2. EU regulations and journalism context 3. From environmental to social sustainability in the field of journalism (Voxeurop) Every module includes: - One introductive video (in 3 languages), One hypertext, One library, One self-assessment quiz - a set of digital tools for the realisation of the sustainable newsrooms - guidelines on digital sustainability for a digital newsroom (in English only) Activity 2 : 23 teachers and 5 newsrooms Field testing has been done to determine the effectiveness of the Wiki Platform on Sustainable Journalism in general and its training modules in particular. 23 teachers and trainers were reached with workshops held by the three partners in total. The principles on sustainable journalism were implemented in one school's digital newspaper and another's TV product. Three draft online sustainable newsrooms were developed. Two in-presence events were co-organised and hosted to present the project results to additional stakeholders such as the schools’ communities reaching additional 96 persons.
