Objectives

With this project we wanted to develop: 1-the interest and participation of students by implementing storage and gamification techniques 2-the skills of teachers in the preparation of courses adapted for narration and gamification in accordance with the 5E model (engage, explore, explain, develop, evaluate) 3-awareness of global issues for students in the sustainable development objectives by encouraging learning in external environments (forests, museums, scientific centers) 5-the ability of students to design and cooperate with a registration on Makerspace (digital workshop) 6-improve design skills with the Tinkerca application. Using the technology, activities have been carried out to design environments that respect nature. 7-Growplanet's activities implemented thus contributing to the gamification objective. 8-develop students' intelligence through nature-inspired designs with biomimicry activities 9-geocoaching activities to create reading instructions and nature awareness 10-student participation in STEM discovery week activities

Activities

In order to offer students STEM activities, teachers followed training by our German partner during the 4 meetings. They learned how to make learning sequences on STEM using the 5E model (engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate). Teachers have also discovered new applications promoting learning in these areas: kahoot, mentimenter, genially, edpuzzle, inshot, canva, growplanet, tinkercad, google.edu,... as well as sites like jpl.nasa.gov, stem.org, sciencebuddies, toytheater.... For the meetings, students and teachers have: - sought solutions to combat climate change using the CANVA tool based on traditional tales, - worked on water resources and water recycling - worked on the carbon footprint and looked for solutions to reduce it - worked on major risks (natural disasters), how to avoid them and what to do in the event of a crisis - reflected on the damage of urban life on nature and made a model of an environmentally conscious city - worked on renewable energies, wind turbines...

Impact

Thanks to the quality training followed, the teachers wrote lesson-plans on STEM according to the 5E method. They then gathered them in a book to serve as resources for each partner. In order to improve sharing among all, tools have been created, a google drive and a paddlet to exchange practices and give new ideas. To disseminate and publicize our project we have also created a Facebook page, a website dedicated to the project and an E-twinning page. The learners have made many achievements, such as models of bridges, wind turbines... During the workshops they learned to filter dirty water to make drinking water. They used software to create closer and more respectful cities. They also learned to recycle materials with a circular economy approach. They also discovered biomimicry. The partners have participated in various actions and projects or have registered for competitions such as Erasmus Days, the "scientix STEM discovery" campaign, STEM School Label.
