▶Objectives
Our goal with this project is to make the theoretical courses richer and more innovative by applying the idea of Metaverse. We wanted to build a new approach between VR technology and academic content. With the VR-Workshops students developed their skills in modern technology areas. We aimed to make our students able to create educational content in the world of Metaverse and increase their motivation and engagement by integrating elements of gamification into courses. Also, at the end of the project teachers get back in their schools with a road map, they will be able to set up awareness sessions for the other teachers on the pedagogical use of the Metaverse.
▶Activities
During our meetings in Spain and Turkey students participated in VR Workshop, they learnt to create and publish content thanks to COSPACE program. They experienced their production thanks to VR glasses. As COSPACE has a simple language in the field of VR they also developed their skills in coding the algorithm. In Germany, through presentations, lectures and seminars on VR and Metaverse universe, teachers got keys about the mechanism of VR technology and its usage in the school environment. They had the opportunity to design lessons in the Metaverse.
▶Impact
With CANVA program students created Holograms. With COSPACE program they created a virtual environment and experimented virtual meetings with their own avatar. They created QR Code cube with educational content. We created an e-magazin to relate our meetings and present the activities. Students registred a podcast to share their experience and feelings about this Erasmus+ project. Teachers realized a video clip for the dissemination of the project on social network. Students of each countries met each other during the meetings, they established friendly relationship and developed their feeling of being European.
