▶Objectives
I wanted the students involved in the project to meet their European counterparts. Creating bonds of friendship and cooperation across borders is a fantastic opportunity, particularly for students enrolled in an establishment located in REP+. This project, entitled "strong body, strong mind" emphasizes the close link between the mind and physical well-being, the link between balanced nutrition and good body health. We must adopt a healthy lifestyle, which becomes necessary for adolescents who are prone to smartphone addiction which isolates them. The project aims to enable them to become aware of possible daily imbalances, and of the need to change in order to be in good health. The project aims to involve them in an awareness-raising process, so that they make the right choices. Choose healthy foods, vary your diet, respect your environment by practicing gardening activities. Practicing regular physical activity, using routes and daily actions to exercise is also one of the objectives of this project. The (re)discovery of nature, the increase in sports practices is another target
▶Activities
The activities proposed were centered around the behaviors and gestures to adopt on a daily basis for a balanced diet and good physical shape according to one's possibilities and skills. During the 3 mobilities, we offered physical activities, discoveries of traditional sports and introduction to these sports. We also offered cultural discovery activities, visits to different places of culture, some of which are classified as UNESCO heritage sites, were included in the various agendas. Cooking workshops using fresh and local products in order to discover and establish the habits of informed consumers: the qualities and nutritional values of foods, how to consume them on a daily basis. The exchanges and sharing of recipes and well-being routines allowed us to create a catalog of common recipes which will be enriched even beyond the project. Healthy recipes from each country but also infusions and herbal teas from local flora.
▶Impact
During this project, our students as well as the participating adults were able to discover the culinary richness and diversity of other countries. The students created a balanced snack on a limited budget and determined the number of calories in each one. The students worked on the food distribution table in order to become aware of the need to observe the principles of the presence of each category of food and their volume in their diet. A board game, “nutri-heroes” was presented to the partners. This board game made it possible to work on nutritional balance and the different categories of food in a fun way. We created a shared garden: each country planted seeds from their own country and we regularly share photos of the plants growing. In Türkiye, our students presented the medicinal herbs from Martinique that we use in addition to certain molecules in allopathic treatments. Our students will lead a workshop to present plants and infusions from the countries visited during language week. We have set up sports circuits adapted to students in difficulty.
