Objectives

Our goal was to actively raise awareness and mobilize our future European electricians to face the crucial challenge of combating climate change, through collaborative transnational activities. We encouraged them to question the importance of electrical energy savings and their future role in this global environmental challenge. Through the eTwinning (eTw) platform and during international mobilities, our students collaborated to identify the most effective technologies and solutions to address immediate climate issues. They then helped promote these solutions at various exhibitions. The S2ET project also aimed to awaken our students to European citizenship, emphasizing the values of equality, freedom, and dignity, particularly in the context of the fight against climate change, in line with the European Commission's #GreenDeal. This shared value strengthens our unity in the face of current and future societal challenges. Thus, the S2ET project is fully aligned with the training of eco-responsible European electricians, prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Activities

Activities implemented as part of our project: FR-RO Collaboration: Students participated in weekly eTw activities, including video conferences and various creative projects (puzzles, quizzes, logos, slogans, videos, exhibitions, ebooks), as well as practical work on EcoPower (EP) and renewable energy. Additionally, they produced 3 collaborative magazines, one for each mobility. During mobilities, learners conducted practical work focused on electricity transport, networks, and distribution. They also deepened their knowledge of EcoPower and photovoltaics. These experiences were enriched by meetings with EU electricians working in various sectors. In parallel, the project promoted civic engagement through visits to key institutions. Participants were able to discover the Ministry of Labor in Paris, the Senate in Bucharest, and had the opportunity to meet with the mayor of Saint-Martin-d'Hères (SMH). Future vision: Our ambition is to see these students become committed ambassadors in the coming years. We hope they will actively promote the EU Commission's #GREEN-DEAL for reduction by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
