Promoting Youth Innovation for Community-Based

Objectives (O1) Promote active eco-citizenship among youth for social entrepreneurship climate innovation at community level;(O2) Advance quality of youth work through knowledge in the use of digital storytelling and design thinking for youth to tackle community environment issues;(O3) Increase cross-sectoral and transnational cooperation in this field; and (O4) Adopt participatory action research methodology for co-creation of project tools and resources. Activities a.Development of VlogBox (video-enriched space), Training Pack and eToolkit for promoting active eco-citizenship among youth b.Capacity-building through Enviro-Hackathons for Youth-Led Community interventions with 60 youth workers and 120 youth c. Experiential-based Community-based Youth interventions, for direct application of youth interventions within their communities. d. Dissemination including social media campaign, local events, short videos and final conference reaching 300,000 people. Impact YouthIES will enhance the social entrepreneurial skills of youth for environmental innovation through community-based interventions and utilise digital storytelling and design thinking pedagogies to enhance youth workers quality of work. It is expected that youth will be better enabled to become long-term agents of change in regard to social entrepreneurial projects related to climate innovation as they will have both the tools and experience required to carry out community-based interventions.
