▶Objectives
The main aim of the project was to raise environmental awareness among students and teachers and to promote the integration of sustainable development goals (SDGs) into everyday school life through innovative teaching methods and digital tools. The specific objectives were: To increase students’ and teachers’ knowledge about sustainability, climate change, and responsible environmental practices To develop and apply the 5E teaching model for more effective and student-centered learning To enhance STEM and digital competences through coding, robotics, and online tools To promote creative thinking and problem-solving in real-life ecological contexts To foster active citizenship and social responsibility among students To strengthen intercultural cooperation and improve language skills through international exchanges To support teachers' professional development with new methodologies and collaborative learning opportunities To build a network of eco-conscious schools working together on local and global environmental challenges
▶Activities
Main activities: LTTA1 Sustainable Development Goals in schools and classrooms LTTA2 Introducing 5E model teaching model LTTA3 New methodologies for communication, class managing and learning tools LTTA4 5E model at school, Science lesson with coding with robotics, sustainable approaches LTTA5 Actions on Climate and SDGs in Hungary and Lego robotics 1. boost the key competences 2. to increase students and teachers' attentions 3. to improve the usage of the language, methodology, digital skills he project included five main LTTAs focused on Sustainable Development Goals, the 5E teaching model, innovative communication and classroom methods, science lessons with coding and robotics, and climate actions using LEGO robotics. The main goals were to boost key competences, enhance student and teacher engagement, and improve language use, teaching methodologies, and digital skills. Energy Saving Plans- during the whole project time.
▶Impact
The project produced several tangible outputs and intangible results that contributed to achieving its educational and environmental goals. Energy Saving Plans: Each partner school developed and implemented a plan to reduce energy consumption, serving as a model for future eco-friendly practices. Workshop using the 5E model: Teachers created and tested subject-specific plans (especially in science and sustainability topics) using the 5E instructional model. Posters, brochures, and presentations: Students created visual materials on environmental themes, which were used in awareness campaigns and shared publicly. Digital toolkits and Web 2.0 collections: A list of apps and tools (e.g., Kahoot, ClassMarker) was applied for sustainable classroom management and shared on eTwinning- Virtual meetings. Videos and digital content: Students and teachers produced short films and multimedia materials to document project activities and results. Dissemination content: Articles, and social media posts that helped share the project’s story and results locally and internationally. Other Result Greater collaboration among the participants Improved environmental awareness among students, teachers, and local communities Increased student engagement
