▶Objectives
The IDEAS project aimed to the creation of a written a course for sound engineers on the management of the audio signal synchronized with the video in live music streaming. The course should provide the basis for the professional training or re-qualification of sound engineers in the field of live streaming. Through the creation of the IDEAS course, the project aimed to: - help reintegrate sound engineers who lost their jobs due to the pandemic into the job market by increasing their skills set with the needs of the current market; - increase the job opportunities of sound engineers who work in live streaming by updating and broadening the range of skills and knowledge; - improve and innovate the current training offer which is lacking on this point; - respect the principles of equality and social inclusion even of the weakest and most vulnerable categories.
▶Activities
Following activities were implemented, assigned to the specific work packages: WP1: Management Activities Activities: - definition and implementation of common strategies; - coordination & project development management; - monitoring of development, management and progress of activities; - quality assurance in terms of achieving objectives & results; - compliance with the work program at an operational level and the related deadlines. WP2: Analysis Report Activities: - data collection for the analysis of the target group needs and the list of existing good practices in the field of live streaming; - research report on the analysis of the needs of the mentioned target group and on the good practices regarding live streaming. WP3: I.D.E.A.S. Course Activities: - IDEAS training course (3 modules - PDF slides) in English; - high definition video - 22 short videos; - translation of the course in italian, french, romanian. WP4: Dissemination Activities: - creation of project website - creation of the social channels (LInkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) WP5: Evaluation Activities: - drafting the evaluation plan; - coordination activities among partners (internal reports, deadline compliance). - final evaluation report.
▶Impact
Outputs: O1. Analysis Report containing: O1.1. Analysis of the needs of the Target Group; O1.2 .The list of existing good practices in the field of live streaming with particular reference to the processing of the audio signal and video synchronization. O2. The development of 3 teaching modules in the form of texts written in pdf/slide format in the language of each country to which the consortium members belong and in English: Module A): Acoustic physics, the analogue and digital signals; Module B): Live streaming transmission platforms: transmission protocols and tools to maximize online audio performance; Module C): Audio-video synchronization in live streaming: latency and collateral problems; The modules are publicly available on the project's website https://www.ideaspro.eu/#content O3. Creation of high definition video content relating to A), B) and C) for making the notions included in the pdf/slides clear and usable. The videos are uploaded on the YouTube platform in the form of a public playlist organized according to modules A) B) and C) https://www.youtube.com/@IdeasPro-eu The development of the pdfs/slides and the related videos of A), B) and C) are the main result of the I.D.E.A.S. professional training course.
