โ–ถSummary

The project 'Growing in the Dream of European Civil Protection' (Gr.EU.CP) was developed to address some key needs of Civil Protection volunteer organizations: - Limited capacity to invest in technical and logistical tools to be used during emergencies. - Reduced technical-theoretical capacity due to inconsistent or rare participation in certified quality training courses. - Almost no opportunity to take part in international exercises to gain experience in European-level cooperation. - Need to build a new European identity for the organizations, which also includes the local identity. These issues are common to many small and medium-sized Civil Protection volunteer organizations, limiting their operational capacities and preparedness in case of emergencies.

โ–ถObjectives

The objectives set in the project 'Growing in the Dream of European Civil Protection' (Gr.EU.CP) were: - Specific training in Civil Protection, with the achievement of at least 35 qualifications/certifications/licenses recognized by current regulations, such as in the fields of radio communications, hydrogeological risk, and earth-moving. - Development of 'Building Capacity' by training at least 15 participants on topics such as 'Planning Civil Protection Simulations,' 'Structure, Organization, and Functioning of Civil Protection from the Local to the European Level,' 'Setting up and Establishing Civil Protection Modules Compatible with the European Union Mechanism.' - Cooperation with other similar European entities. - Investment in technical-logistical equipment to improve the performance of organizations in case of future disasters. - Organizing 2 simulations of adverse events, focusing on hydrogeological issues and the presence of missing persons, to enhance the practical experience of partner organizations. - Involving at least 10 external individuals as 'observers' in project activities to convey the values and role of Europe in Civil Protection.
