â¶Objectives
The AIM of this project is to introduce primary school teachers to the Animal assisted education (AAE) concept and encourage them to include animals in the learning process providing the knowledge and tools. The inclusion of children with various difficulties is stressed. OBJECTIVES: 1.To establish the theoretical background creating a guide to AAE for the primary school teachers; 2.To organize and attend the practical seminar of AAE and therapy in alpaca farm and educational center in Germany; 3.To organize partner meeting and perform testing activity of output developed in Lithuania. 4.To develop a Teacher qualification program about AAE. 5.To organize a virtual seminar group about AAE for the primary school teachers and other target groups.
â¶Activities
The activities implemented could be summarized as follows: ⢠4 Transnational virtual meetings were organized for management and outputs development purposes (2 virtual; 1 during the testing activity in Lithuania). ⢠1 workshop about AAE implementation in practice was organized by partner from Germany and Partners from Lithuania successfully completed it. ⢠2 intellectual outputs were developed, that is, a methodological guidelines on AAE topic and a teacher training program for primary school teachers. ⢠1 virtual Multiplier event (a virtual seminar) for target groups was organized and implemented, ⢠Project management activities for coordination, quality assurance and risk assessment were completed. The main outputs: a project management manual including a section for risk assessment and quality assurance (the overall evaluation of processes and outputs). ⢠Project dissemination activities for outputs dissemination purposes.
â¶Impact
The primary school teachers is able to include Animal assisted education in the learning process through the outputs that are developed in this project. The results cover the topic in the wide perspective providing a theoretical background (a guide about AAE), based on practical knowledge (workshop), testing the theoretical knowledge practically (testing activity), developing the teacher training program and disseminating it in the international virtual seminar. Outputs developed: a methodological guideline for primary school teachers about AAE implementation and a primary school teacher qualification program. Other results are presented more briefly in other sections of this report.
