▶Objectives
The project aimed to: Raise awareness of healthy eating habits and physical activity among students, teachers, and parents. Reduce fast food consumption and sedentary behaviors among students. Encourage outdoor and team-based physical activities. Increase communication, collaboration, self-confidence, and cultural awareness among all participants.
▶Activities
We implemented four short-term joint staff trainings in Latvia, Hungary, North Macedonia, and Turkey, each focused on a specific theme: obesity and physical inactivity, balanced nutrition, combating sedentary lifestyles, and outdoor activities. Each mobility included seminars, classroom observations, workshops, physical exercises, parent involvement, and intercultural exchanges. Between mobilities, at the local level, all schools conducted workshops, peer-led health challenges, awareness campaigns, and family engagement events. Teachers implemented new lesson plans integrating physical activity and healthy habits into Biology and English lessons. Students and teachers used tracking journals to monitor progress.
▶Impact
The project produced several high-quality and measurable outputs that contributed directly to its objectives. Teacher’s Guide: A comprehensive booklet offering practical strategies for integrating healthy habits into school routines, covering physical activity, nutrition, and mental well-being. Student & Parent Brochures: Visually engaging brochures in local languages to raise awareness at home and support continuity of healthy habits outside of school. E-Book on Healthy Lifestyle Activities: A creative collection of simple, school-friendly activities designed to increase movement and awareness among students. Habit Tracking Journals: Used by both students and teachers to monitor food intake, physical activity, and personal health goals, promoting accountability and behavior change. English and Biology Lesson Plans: Curriculum-integrated lesson plans embedding nutrition, physical wellness, and European values into regular classroom activities. Visual Dissemination Materials: Posters, infographics and awareness videos prepared by students for campaign visibility. Strong participation from disadvantaged students and students with obesity risks, supported through adaptive and inclusive methodologies.
