The main objective of the project was educational activities for children and young people concerning the protection of biodiversity in the immediate vicinity, i.e. urban areas, and in the field of ecology and development of good habits. This objective was achieved through learning about the natural resources of the local environment, field activities, exchange of views and experiences, and "local visits" in partner cities. The second important objective was to establish cooperation between partner institutions and learn about the methodology of conducting environmental education in individual countries, develop common teaching methods and implement them in classes conducted in individual institutions. Another important aspect of the project was the development of key competences of students, especially those related to exact sciences and digital competences, educating students about responsibility for the natural environment as a common value and civic involvement in its protection. The planned activities were linked to the appropriate priorities, falling within the scope: "Environment and combating climate change".

During the project, all 4 planned activities were implemented: 1) Partner meeting in Laterza, Italy (October 15-20, 2023); 2) Partner meeting in Gliwice, Poland (May 5-10, 2024); 3) Partner meeting in Ankara, Turkey (October 13-18, 2024); 4) stationary activities: - establishing cooperation between institutions, creating working groups, dividing tasks, maintaining project documentation, - creating an atlas of biodiversity of the local area of ​​each school in an online form, - creating an educational path on the premises of each institution. Teachers participating in the project met on the Zoom platform to discuss the progress of the project. In addition, throughout the entire period of the project, an eTwinning project devoted to the topic of the Erasmus project was carried out in parallel, thanks to which cooperation between participants was close and allowed for the current publication of developed results.

The implementation of the project enabled the achievement of the intended results: 1) development of an atlas of local biodiversity of each school; 2) development and creation of educational paths on biodiversity in schools, accessible to all students and school staff and (if possible) the local community; 3) development of scenarios of classes on biodiversity; 4) development of cooperation between institutions and integration of project participants; 5) acquisition of knowledge by participants on the biodiversity of Ankara, Gliwice and Laterza, methods of nature protection in these cities; 6) development of key competences of project participants in the field of science, languages ​​and digital.
