Objectives

By implementing the PROSLIFE project, we aimed to achieve the following key objectives: 1. Develop sustainability competencies among teachers and students, fostering awareness of the impact of overconsumption and promoting responsible consumption (SDG12). 2. Enhance educators' skills to effectively teach Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and guide the sustainable growth of societies through innovative and digital tools. 3. Encourage international collaboration, expanding the capabilities of schools and promoting European cooperation through project-based activities and transnational meetings. 4. Build active citizenship and empower individuals to make sustainable lifestyle choices that consider social, economic, and environmental impacts. 5. Involve disadvantaged groups, ensuring inclusivity in education and participation in local and international sustainability projects. Through these objectives, we aimed to transform teaching approaches and embed sustainable lifestyle education into everyday learning, ultimately fostering more sustainable communities.

Activities

In the PROSLIFE project, we implemented the following key activities: 1. Teacher Competency Development: Teachers enhanced their skills to follow the Pathway to Sustainable Lifestyles Education throughout the project. 2. Creation of Teacher Training Content: We developed specialized training materials for teachers, focused on promoting sustainable lifestyles. 3. Online Content Creation: Teachers learned how to create online educational content to ensure effective e-learning. 4. Development of E-learning Modules: We designed and implemented e-learning modules specifically tailored for sustainable lifestyles education. 5. Training for E-learning Platform Use: Teachers received training to effectively use the e-learning platform and promote sustainable lifestyle education within their schools and communities. These activities supported the overall goal of embedding sustainable lifestyles education into teaching practices across participating schools.

Impact

The concrete outputs and results of the PROSLIFE project include: 1. Professional Development for Teachers: Teachers gained a deeper understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG-12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). 2. Enhanced Competencies: Teachers developed key skills, values, and attitudes to help their students become more aware of their consumption habits and act as sustainable consumers. 3. Creation of E-Learning Modules: Teachers developed and implemented e-learning modules aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyle education, providing a digital resource for educators. 4. International Collaboration: Teachers collaborated with international colleagues, exchanging best practices and strengthening their approach to sustainable lifestyle education. 5. Support from School Leaders: Awareness raised about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) led school leaders to support the integration of sustainable lifestyle education in their institutions.
