Objectives

When implementing the project, we wanted to: Gain experience in foreign cooperation, develop and increase the potential of our institutions. Involve people with fewer opportunities in long life learning education who under normal circumstances, would not have the opportunity to acquire/update their qualifications. Enable all interested people, in particular people with fewer opportunities, excluded and at risk of social exclusion, to take up work as a caregiver for an elderly and disabled person through free access to an educational platform using which they will be able to take a course for a caregiver of an elderly and disabled person, acquire or complete competences/qualifications, validate the acquired knowledge and skills and receive a certificate. Develop publicly available educational materials that we will include in our current activities in the form of a course for caregivers of the elderly and disabled people and an online platform where the created materials will be available. Create an online forum through which caregivers will be able to exchange information, together solve problems occurring during their work, inform about important events, changes in regulations, etc.

Activities

Task1. We adopted the division of tasks, the provisions of the partnership agreement, and selected the project staff. During the meeting in Poland, experiences in the implementation of 'Care of the elderly and disabled' courses were exchanged. A course program and teaching materials were developed. Task2. We have created an online course with learning materials. We organized regular meetings during which the progress of work was presented. The materials have been translated into the partner's language. Task3. We have developed guidelines regarding the appearance, operation and functionality of the platform - the document 'Specification of the functionality of the Internet platform' on the basis of which the platform was created. Task4. We evaluated the quality and usefulness of the created tools. During the meeting in Spain, we discussed evaluation reports, the possibility of further development of the course, and developed recommendations for further cooperation. Task5. We carried out: campaigns on the Internet, we held a number of information meetings, we distributed posters and leaflets. Organization of online conferences. Task6. Planning, coordination and evaluation of activities, budget management, payments, accounting.

Impact

As part of the project, a free, publicly available, bilingual (Polish and Spanish) online educational platform was created which is including people with fewer opportunities, along with a 6-module 'Caregiver for the elderly and disabled people' course. After creating an account, each user can gain knowledge and validate acquired competences/qualifications. In case of a positive pass tests dedicated to each of the 6 test modules of the course user generates a certificate. An online forum has also been created for caregivers of dependent people, where they can exchange information, support each other in solving problem situations, obtain advice from other people working as caregivers of dependent persons, etc. The members of both institutions have gained experience in implementing international projects and developed their competences. in the field of management and communication in a foreign language. This contributed to the development of both partner institutions, learning about the vocational education systems in both countries, learning about good practices in the field of vocational education and acquiring valuable experiences.
