Objectives

The project aimed to empower rural communities by addressing challenges such as depopulation and limited opportunities. Objectives included promoting the exchange of good practices among partners in Portugal, Spain, and Italy; enhancing the digital, creative, and entrepreneurial skills of young adults and educators; and fostering soft skills, innovation, and a sense of initiative. By creating high-quality training opportunities, the project sought to strengthen participants' connection to their communities and the European Union, encouraging them to take an active role in rural development. Additionally, the "Rural Creative Labs Toolkit" was developed to ensure the sustainability and replication of the project's methodologies. These efforts contributed to building stronger networks, fostering European identity, and promoting innovation in rural areas.

Activities

The project implemented several key activities to achieve its objectives. First, we organized transnational staff training sessions to exchange good practices, focusing on non-formal education, entrepreneurship, and digital tools. Local bootcamps were conducted in Portugal, Spain, and Italy, engaging over 12 participants per country, where learners developed entrepreneurial projects using creative arts, gamification, and design thinking. A transnational mobility program in Portugal brought together selected participants to further collaborate, refine their projects, and deepen their understanding of rural development and EU opportunities. Throughout the project, partners co-created the "Rural Creative Labs Toolkit," compiling methodologies and tools to replicate the program. Dissemination efforts included creating videos, reports, and testimonials to engage broader audiences and stakeholders. These activities fostered collaboration, empowered participants with key skills, and contributed to revitalizing rural areas while strengthening European networks and identity.

Impact

The project delivered several tangible and intangible results. Key outputs included: "Rural Creative Labs Toolkit": A comprehensive guide detailing the methodologies and tools used during the project, freely accessible for replication. Training Programs: Successful implementation of local bootcamps and transnational mobility, engaging 36 participants across three countries. Dissemination Materials: Testimonial videos, reports, and social media content to raise awareness and share outcomes. Intangible results included: - Enhanced soft skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and digital literacy among participants. - Strengthened European identity and intercultural understanding through collaboration. - Increased capacity of partner organizations to design and implement high-quality education programs in rural areas. - Creation of a transnational network to support future projects and innovation in rural communities. These results contributed to empowering rural learners and educators, revitalizing communities, and fostering sustainable development.
