▶Objectives
Concrete objectives we wanted to achieve: to contribute to a more informed and conscious society regarding the importance of natural resources, such as water by adopting practices of responsible consumption and efficient use of water and energy in a sustainable way; allow participants in the project to acquire knowledge and skills on how to use natural resources wisely, how to protect and save our planet for next generations and how to change the daily life and domestic habits in order to conserve natural resources (reduce water, seek alternative sources, separate garbage collection, reuse materials and have an ecological attitude); foster creative thinking and problem solving as effective solutions to mitigate environmental problems; gain information about what happens and what are the best solutions; know a lot about the effects of human activities on nature and how to help the ecosystems survive; develop civic engagement and common values as a priority; work for Sustainable Development; develop interesting products through the improvement of digital skills; allow participant to learn about different partners’ culture and nature; improve the quality of education by generating and sharing good practices.
▶Activities
We implemented three mobilities: Italy, Bulgaria and Portugal. We implemented an online conference on the 5th June 2024. Within the physical mobilities we had programmes that included presentations, different workshops about topics concerning the subject of the project, group dynamics, production of videos, and organizing and implementing sessions with peers. Also, we had all the activities related to planning, organization, dissemination and monitoring that were carried out in meetings in between mobilities, as the following examples: .creation of a website about the project (greenbelief.eu); .creation of a Facebook page (Erasmusaepb Aepb (20+) Facebook); .creation of a padlet (https://padlet.com/erasmus101/beli-e-ve-in-a-greener-world-rmsx5j4jxb3l2p6m .use of the etwinning platform in order to disseminate the project (https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/en/etwinning/projects/be-lieve-greener-world/twinspace) application of surveys to teachers, students, parents and staff at the beginning and end of the project and their analysis .school debates and debates on the local radio .bookmarks - Agenda 2030 .conference “Sustainable use of water” .workshops on different topics .school garden project i.deas Contest… among others
▶Impact
The main results expected were met with the main activities all being completed successfully. The three mobilities had more participants than initially defined. When the project was written it was expected to participate at least 2 students and 2 teachers per country in each mobility (total of 24 participants), but in fact, it was possible to include more participants (total of 41 participants). These participants were directly involved in mobilities; nevertheless, we would like to stress that many more participated in the implementation of the project. For example, in the mobility in Portugal, around 70 students participated in the project. The activities developed during these periods were quite important and relevant for the 3 partners/ participants, not only as students but also as citizens. All the activities and workshops implemented were related to the main topic of the project allowing all the participants to develop a more conscious and responsible behavior towards the environment. All the achievements were hosted in a website created for this purpose. All the products and results were published in an etwinning page of the project on the etwinning platform.
