โ–ถObjectives

The main objectives of the "Skills for a Greener Future: Adult Literacy for Sustainable Development in the Workspace" project were threefold: Equip adult educators, trainers, and facilitators with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote sustainable development within various workplaces. Facilitate the acquisition and implementation of green skills among adult workers, enabling them to contribute to and thrive in a green economy. Strengthen the capability of participating organizations to deliver effective training and educational services that support green transformations in the workplace. These objectives aimed to create a foundation for continuous learning and adaptation to green practices, ensuring that both individuals and organizations are prepared for sustainable operations and the challenges of future environmental demands.

โ–ถActivities

In the "Skills for a Greener Future" project, we conducted a series of focused activities to achieve our sustainability & education goals: A1. Project Management: We ensured effective coordination and oversight of the project, involving all partner organizations in planning and execution to adhere to our timeline and budget commitments. A2. Methodology for Green Skills: Developed a comprehensive methodology to integrate green skills into adult education, providing educators with resources and strategies to teach sustainable practices. A3. Training Activity for Trainers & Adult Educators Specialist: Conducted targeted training sessions for adult educators to enhance their ability to deliver green skills education effectively. A4. Online Training Course: Eco-friendly @ work: Launched an online training module aimed at improving workplace sustainability practices across diverse sectors, accessible to employees seeking to advance their green skillsets. A5. Dissemination Conference in Romania: Hosted a conference to disseminate the results and learnings of the project, engaging stakeholders and promoting the broader adoption of sustainable practices. A6. Dissemination Conference in Italy: Similar to the Romanian conference.

Methodology & Practical Guide: We developed a comprehensive methodology and practical guide aimed at improving and developing green skills among adult educators, trainers, and specialists. This guide serves as a critical resource for enhancing sustainable education practices across various learning environments. Online Training Course: We successfully created and launched an online training course targeted at adults active in the labor market, including both employers and employees. This course is specifically designed to develop essential green skills, supporting participants' transition towards a green economy. Specialized Training for Adult Education Specialists: We supported and facilitated a specialized training course for adult education specialists. This training was focused on developing their capabilities to design and deliver effective green educational services, which are crucial for fostering sustainable development within workplaces.
