Objectives

The objectives of our project were: 1. Improving teachers' digital skills for using interactive whiteboards, applications and platforms in their teaching activity. 2. Improving the competences of highschool students by increasing the number of hours with digitized teaching content in as many subjects as possible. 3. Developing partnerships at European level. Through the project activities we wanted to achieve the following. The acquisition of digital tools contributes to the development of digital skills and competences of teachers and students. As a result, new digital content will be created and digital technologies and practices will be integrated into the educational process. This will contribute to managing digital transformation by developing digital readiness, resilience and capacity. Our project was designed with environmental sustainability in mind, as our main objective was to create digital content that can be used in daily teaching, thus reducing the use of paper, and developing environmental awareness among students. We were also focused on contributing to inclusion and diversity, as we wanted to use digital tools to help reduce the learning gap between students from different socio-economic background.

Activities

The project included workshops. At each meeting, teachers from the host school gave demonstration lessons to show how interactive whiteboards could be effectively integrated into the teaching of as many subjects as possible. They also demonstrated/taught at least 3 applications/platforms to the other participants. Thus, by the end of the project, participants had learned at least 12 applications/platforms and shared their experience and knowledge with colleagues in their own schools. We also created a website for the project where teachers who actively participated in the project uploaded the digital content they created using the applications/platforms they learned. Each participating school contributed at least 10 digital content/OER (e.g. interactive materials, materials to support teaching-learning-assessment activities, multimedia products, digital applications and games) to the project, resulting in 40 digital content/OER made available to all teachers by the end of the project. The digital content produced was also published as a book (print and digital versions), and made available to all interested parties. Another project activity was a course for teachers in Romanian school to learn how to use digital whiteboards.

Impact

The expected results of our project were the following : • project's website • workshops, presentations, public events, meetings with local associations in the area • digital content from the workshops (e. g. interactive materials, support materials for teaching-learning-evaluation activities, digital applications and games) • publishing the digital content created in book form • articles and interviews published in the local media • information material (newsletters, brochures, leaflets) • multimedia products • quiz for students Through joint activities during the workshops, participants got to know each other better and worked together more effectively. They got to know each other's educational systems better and learned good practices. Participants learned and tested at least 3 new applications or platforms at each workshop. They created digital content (e. g. interactive materials, support materials for teaching-learning-evaluation activities) using the applications. They produced short videos using the video editing tools they learned. The digital content they produced was shared on the project's social media platforms, Instagram, Facebook page, project website, school website, eTwinning, EPRP etc.
