The main goal is to establish a connection between sustainable development goals and the curriculum for elementary schools through topics related to water, food, and environmental protection. The specific objectives are: 1. Improving the level of knowledge and skills of teachers in the field of sustainable development goals oriented towards the topics of water, food, and the environment, as well as the 2030 Agenda. Also, 2. Enhancing the ability of teachers to transfer knowledge and skills about sustainable development goals related to the topics of water, food, and the environment to students through pilot demonstrations of practical work.

The main activities, aside from project management as the foundation of the project, also include three transnational meetings. We organized webinars, initially for team members, and then each partner organization organized separate webinars for teachers in each country. Based on the webinars and research, we started preparing a handbook in collaboration with schools, which was tested in schools and demonstrated through Water Day at the end of the project. As part of the dissemination activities, we organized multiplier events where we presented the project, activities, and results. Besides the transnational meetings planned by the project, we also met as a team twice more during Water Days and multiplier events in Slovenia and Croatia.

Specifically, the result is improved knowledge and skills of teachers and their newly developed ability to transfer knowledge and skills to students through sustainable development goals on the topics of water, food, and the environment. To achieve this, we prepared a Handbook with basic content on the topics of water, food, and the environment; a methodology for application in teaching, 17 worksheets encompassing 33 activities, and recommendations for extracurricular and outdoor activities. Another result is the webinars that each partner organization can continue to conduct, enhancing their regular activities. About 100 teachers were educated, and 3000 children were involved in the project. Three Water Days and three multiplier events were organized, with a total of over 100 participants.
