The We Learn as One Project goal was to improve teachers' skills when it comes to including the students with special educational needs in both social and academic spheres. Our main objectives were the following:  Making sure that the teachers attain a minimum qualification of 70% proficiency in special education.  Teachers became more aware about special education policies in partner countries.  Enabling teachers to make materials appropriate to the interests and abilities of students with special educational needs.  Fostering key competencies in special education among teachers. Additionally, our aim was to:  Foster collaborative work motivation.  Develop EU citizenship.  Improve the skills that involve critical thinking. We wanted the participants to be have the knowledge to either apply their newfound knowledge to other projects or have the confidence to engage in similar initiatives

We have organized a series of activities to help us reach our goals. During LTTA 1, we learnt and gathered new findings about special education. We examined common misconceptions, and looked at the special needs of each student, and then we held a brainstorming activity to find solutions. It was a great opportunity for everyone to gain a better understanding of special education. We also took pre- and post-tests to track our progress and discussed ways to get students and parents more involved. In LTTA 2, we focused on creating inclusive learning environments. Each school put together engaging educational skits, and we held discussions, small group activities, and round table talks. We also worked on eTwinning project to keep the collaboration going strong. In LTTA 3, we developed an educational model for students with special needs. We left the classroom to participate in field trips and designed creative outdoor activities. After each LTTA, we gathered observation reports to share insights with everyone involved.

We have produced the following concrete results:  An inclusive and integrative education model.  The material collections obtained as a result of each LTTA (lesson plans for teachers).  Booklets from project outputs.  Three LTTA reports in which we measure the impact on teachers and pupils as a result of each activity.  Newsletters.  An eTwinning project with the same name and theme as this project.
