As the title suggests, we wished to created empowered and fulfilled citizens , to prepare students to participate in different aspects of life, such as social, economical, political, cultural, interpersonal, to teach them to recognise values useful for them to built satisfaction at the level of their personal and social life and the upcoming professional life on the job market, to teach them how to form valid opinions, to teach them social responsibility as valuable members of society, to respect local and global issues, such as democracy, ecology, tolerance, pluralism, and last but not least digital and media literacy. We wanted to emphasise the role of team work, cooperation and emotional self-regulation and well-being, to shape their personality and give them a hand with solving problems, how to compete and be fair in life situations. We wanted the students to make progress in language competences, namely speaking, writing, listening and reading, as well as to enrich their vocabulary and support their longing for learning and searching for information in a foreign language, to find verified sources of information, to boost their imagination and creativity, and reveal talents when it comes to writing or designing stuff.

Activities to Develop Global Skills: mobilities to develop teamwork skills, communication across cultures, and problem-solving in an international context and improvement their communication skills in other languages. Workshops to explore topics like EU citizenship, human rights or environment and international cooperation. Lectures by experts on topics related to the project. Discussions on various topics, competitions in sports, languages challenges, writing contest, etc. We had weekly classroom lessons filled with activities, such as quizzes, worksheets, our own educational materials (outputs). We also did field trips into the nature and historical and cultural sites, organisations (EU and local parliaments), school campaign and elections. Other activities include planting trees, producing and installing insect hotels and bird houses together, collecting waste paper, plastic bottle tops and producing products from recycled plastic. We also held project management meetings both online and in person, parents meetings and events to inform the parents and promote the project. Students exchanged contacts and communicated electronically and in person during the mobilities.

We created the following educational materials: My Language Portfolio, EU Portfolio, EU Glossary, Students Notes from Jazykovymentoring, Slovak Language Demo Lesson, School Leaflet, Active Citizenship and EU Values. We designed the logo, the banners, roll-ups, T-shirts and other promotional materials, posters for activities/mobilities/events. We published out results in the school websites, the local TV and newspaper, the school radio, social media. We took photos, shot videos and vlogs. We created presentations for parents, colleagues and management. We decorated our school noticeboards and updated them monthly to keep our students informed. We created several issues of the school magazine.
