▶Objectives
Our project focused on innovation and enhancing the attractiveness of vocational education and training. In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (2, 3, 12, 13), we aimed to promote healthier lifestyles, responsible consumption, and environmental awareness. A key objective was fostering inclusion and international cooperation, ensuring that all students, including those with fewer opportunities, could actively participate. We explored the cultural significance of food, analysed the impact of modern dietary habits, and encouraged healthier choices. During the project, both students and teachers gained valuable knowledge about nutrition, sustainability, and well-being. By integrating these topics into vocational education, we created a meaningful learning experience that not only improved skills but also inspired a long-term commitment to a healthier and more sustainable future.
▶Activities
We implemented diverse activities that promoted healthy living, sustainability, and vocational education. Key activities included designing the project logo, developing the website, FB page and an eTwinning project. The activities were implemented both virtually and physically. We organised two mobility activities, in Slovakia and Turkiye. We conducted a survey on healthy eating to assess students’ dietary habits. Based on the results, we created a guidance booklet with practical health tips. Additionally, we compiled a collection of lighter traditional recipes, promoting healthier versions of classic dishes. A study on the environmental impact of food choices was carried out, emphasizing sustainable eating habits. Various posters and presentations were created to disseminate findings. Workshops, discussions, and local dissemination events engaged students, teachers, and the wider community. By integrating new pedagogical approaches, we enhanced vocational education, making learning more dynamic and impactful.
▶Impact
The project achieved both tangible and intangible results at local and international levels. Key general outputs included the project logo, website, eTwinning project, posters and presentations. These materials helped promote the project and enhance vocational education with innovative approaches. Specific results focused on health, sustainability, and gastronomy. A survey on healthy eating provided insights into dietary habits, while a guidance booklet offered practical tips for a balanced lifestyle. A collection of lighter traditional recipes modernised classic dishes with healthier alternatives. Additionally, a study analysed the environmental impact of food choices, promoting responsible consumption. These results contributed to raising awareness, fostering healthier habits, and integrating sustainability into vocational education, ensuring benefits for students, teachers, and the wider community.
