Service Learning for Media Literacy

Objectives On the operation level: media literacy of young people, responsible consumption of information. On the tactical level: critical thinking and analytical skills of youngsters, necessity to verify any kind of information. On the strategical level: active citizenship and participation of young people. Activities We will have 3 transnational meetings: in Almeria, Krakow and Timisoara. We will organize 3 activities: 1) Manual for facilitators on Service-Learning - to educate teachers and mentors in this methodology. 2) Course on media literacy for youngsters - to give them necessary skills in the field. 3) Creation of the youngsters' own media - under our supervision they will create and regularly fill with content their own media. Impact Tangible: 1) Manual on Service-Learning Intangible: 1) Classes on media literacy 2) Private guiding sessions with young people 3) New skills for young people for responsible consumption of information. 4) Spirit of active participation of young people.
