Objectives The SterE(U)otypes project aims to combat stereotypes and prejudiced perceptions of migrant youth towards Europeans, which impede their smooth integration into their host societies. It focuses on migrant stereotypical perceptions as boundary-maintenance practices and ways of reifying and designating cultural differences. This will be achieved by concentrating on these perceptions from the migrants’ point of view and exposing them as generalizations that impede their integration. Activities Target groups will participate in: WP2: Min 20 migrant youth per country will participate to the survey on migrant stereotypes towards the EU societies they live in. WP3: Online discussions (min 2) with experts in migrant integration, psychologists and sociologists on the role of stereotypes. WP4: Participation and training of min 10 YW from each country to the e-Learning course on Migrant Stereotypes. WP5: Dissemination, communication and exploitation activities. Impact The project will produce the first-ever Guidebook on migrant stereotypes towards the EU societies they are hosted in, which impede their smooth social integration. This will be the product of a survey on migrant generalized perceptions in the Netherlands and Cyprus. The project will further produce an e-Learning Course for YWs and Educators on tackling migrant stereotypes towards Europeans that impede their integration .
