The aim of the project was to develop a podcast as audio material for basic education and German as a second language courses. The intention was to create a link between the university and society, break down prejudices and implement a participatory format in which educationally disadvantaged women with a migration background could contribute their experiences and interests. Focus groups were used to identify topics, promoting social inclusion in terms of both content and methodology. At the same time, the project aimed to create learning opportunities for all participants – across generations and for those interested in podcasts, trainers and students. The podcast highlighted different perspectives on history, regional and cultural contexts, and mechanisms of exclusionary historiography. In addition, the project aimed to strengthen German language skills, promote self-positioning in historical processes and expand digital skills. Students were also to learn about and apply the podcast as a didactic tool.
