โ–ถObjectives

The main objectives of the project were to increase the professional competences of teachers and to make learning more attractive for students. Specifically, we aimed to: (1) support teachers in integrating tablets, mobile apps and interactive games into their daily practice, particularly in History and Language teaching; (2) promote outdoor learning activities for Biology and Geography, connecting classroom theory with real-life contexts; (3) introduce STEAM projects and innovative evaluation methods in Maths and Science to make assessment more meaningful and fun; (4) develop intercultural awareness and cooperation among teachers and students by working together in international teams; and (5) strengthen the European dimension of our schools by building a sustainable partnership. Through these objectives, we wanted to create motivating, inclusive and modern learning environments, to increase student interest and achievement, and to establish long-term professional connections that will continue after the project ends.

โ–ถActivities

The project was implemented through three short-term training activities (LTTAs) hosted by each partner. In Austria, teachers explored the use of tablets, mobile apps and interactive games in History and Language lessons. In Turkey, they focused on outdoor activities in Geography and Biology, linking school subjects to the natural environment. In Romania, they worked on integrating STEAM projects in Maths and Science and on designing playful, meaningful evaluation methods. Before each LTTA, partner schools collaborated online to prepare sample lessons, presentations and workshop materials. During the mobilities, teachers attended classes, delivered activities with students, participated in expert-led workshops and exchanged feedback. After each LTTA, teams revised and improved their activities, uploaded them to eTwinning and tested them with their own students. Dissemination was carried out at school level through presentations, open lessons and workshops, and more broadly through the project website and social media.

โ–ถImpact

First and foremost, our teachers' observations have led to improvements in their understanding of the similarities and differences across education systems. The role of digital and mobile applications in teaching in increasing student motivation was observed. Prejudices against multiculturalism were broken, and the essence of education was understood to be universal and indispensable. The project produced both tangible and intangible results. Tangible outputs include sample lessons and activities in History, Languages, Biology, Geography, Maths and Science; sets of presentations on school systems and educational practices; workshop materials; and certificates of participation. Intangible results are equally important: teachers improved their competences in using ICT, outdoor strategies and STEAM approaches, gained self-confidence in multicultural contexts, and developed stronger intercultural and communication skills. Students benefited from more engaging, interactive and motivating lessons. At institutional level, the project strengthened the European profile of the schools. At community and European level, dissemination ensured that other teachers and schools can benefit from our work.
