With our project, we aimed to bring together teachers and students from different countries to explore our shared habitat—the Earth—from various perspectives and to develop a global awareness for environmental protection. By engaging with the biological diversity in these countries, we sought to strengthen understanding and promote a mindful approach to the environment. A central goal was to learn from each other and to gain new ideas for teaching and everyday school life through exchange. The diversity of education systems offered the opportunity to discover and incorporate new methods, thereby expanding both students’ and teachers’ professional and personal skills. The project also supported language development: children could be taught in their native language while English was used as a common language to enhance communication skills. Erasmus served as a bridge between cultures and education systems, providing enriching international experiences and fostering sustainable environmental awareness, intercultural competence, and personal growth.

In the first half-year, we focused on the activity Getting to Know the Countries, during which our project logo, theme song, and mascot were created. The pupils learned about the partner countries through creative contributions such as e-books, Padlets, pinboards, and games. In the second half-year, the emphasis was on the topic of Environment. We explored "Handling Wast–Turning Old into New," where the pupils learned to sort waste properly and became waste professionals themselves. We compared life in cities and on the countryside and developed actions related to Sustainability. The third half-year centered on World Children's Day and the Partnership with People with Limited Opportunities. To the World Children's Day, the schools organized workshops on children's rights. There were collaborations with various groups; Austria addressed homelessness and elderly people, while Croatia worked with children from a special school and seniors to help and bring joy to these groups. In the final half-year, we dedicated ourselves to the topics of Animal Protection and Proper Animal Care and Therapy Animals. Over the two years, four school visits took place, along with monthly online meetings that further enriched exchange and collaboration.

Our project is documented on the eTwinning platform, featuring detailed descriptions, photos, links to e-books, videos, meeting recordings, and other materials. For each phase, digital presentations were created using Canva, providing a structured overview of activities and results. Each school designed its own Padlet, which was published on the school websites and made accessible to partner schools, allowing students, teachers, and parents to have continuous insight into the project. A shared project logo was designed, professionally implemented, and used on T-shirts, bags, posters, and all project materials. The project song, "We Are Children of This Earth," was rehearsed in multiple languages, recorded in a sound studio, and performed. A rescued street dog became the mascot, named "Flipi," which was graphically designed and incorporated into our e-books. For each activity, initial and final evaluations were conducted. Numerous e-books were created using Book Creator. Additionally, both analog and digital games were developed. Our school visits were documented in diaries, photo books, and videos. There were also informational events for teachers and reports published in the local press.
