▶Objectives
The project aims to keep people 55+ involved in the world of work and bring people and companies together. This benefits both, people 55+ through maintaining a sense of belonging in society and preventing old-age poverty, and companies keeping knowledge in the economy counteracting the staff shortage. Chambers, a University and regional management offices are cooperating in order to create a sustainable project building on already existing structures with ongoing use of the project results.

Research study to investigate the status quo, the needs and working conditions of people 55+ & the regional skills gaps Development of a Trainingsbox to train people 55+ in mentoring and working options Job fair for the target groups to bring people 55+ and companies together Pilot activity to test the materials and implement the results in already existing structures to ensure sustainable use The White Paper will place the results in a wider context and initiate a discussion at political level
▶Impact
An investigation will produce a report including a visual fact sheet on regional skills gaps. The main project result is a Trainingsbox containing training materials for people 55+, consisting of a mentoring course and employment and working opportunities. There will be a skills profile guideline to help matching the skills offered and needed and a job fair bringing people and companies together. The white paper aims to initiate a discussion on this very important issue at political level.
