▶Objectives
The intention of the project is to concentrate in a central online HUB useful tools for students, teachers and researchers in the different disciplines of Music Theory, so that it serves as an incubator and support for music theory sources and tools, pedagogical practices and research and support a certain level of harmonization of the academic offer in Music in Europe.
▶Activities
The partners will implement a set of targeted activities: - The development of an HarmaHUB platform of ressources, including a Music Analysis Repository, serving as a reference tool for Music Theory teachers and students. - The implementation of a staff week and intensive student's week to share practices - The development of a peer-reviewed journal on Music Theory, to support research on these topics - The implementation of two dissemination events targeting all HMEIs in Europe.
▶Impact
The main outcome of the project is the strengthening of the community around Music Theory in Higher Music Education Institutions at the European level, the project's results being teachers- and students-oriented. In the end, we seek to modernise practices and give access to the latest knowledge and innovations in this specific discipline of our HMEIs. In the long run, the project will allow a common reflection on the place of Music Theory courses in the training of future professional musicians.
