▶Objectives
The Support Centre of Education (B) and the Open University (NL) will develop - in co-creation - 5 digital learning snacks, a toolbox and an intervision trajectory, based on the latest neuroscientific insights about brain maturity. The goal is to professionalise coaches of adolescents in training on the workfloor by enhancing their coaching skills. This will optimize the quality of coaching on the workfloor and lead to more succesful workplace trajectories for adolescents.
▶Activities
We will develop 5 digital learning snacks (on the role of brain development) with a toolbox for mentors, adapted to the Flemish educational and workplace context. During the project period, we will implement the professionalisation process in 6 intervision trajectories with mentors from the workplaces. After measuring the impact, we will sustainably disseminate the entire package, via www.jow.be and the networks of JOW (Young People on the Workfloor).
▶Impact
The project will have an immediate impact on the mindset and professionalisation of coaching skills of 250 mentors and counsellors at workplaces in Limburg (Belgium). The broad dissemination and the continuous availability of the developed expertise, tools and intervision will lead to more qualitative and successful workplace trajectories for adolescents in training and to their smoother transition to and sustainable employability on the labour market.
