▶Objectives
The main objective of the project proposal 'STEM and culinary fantasies' is to create a small partnership between organizations from three countries, aimed at developing the professional competencies of VET staff; imposing an innovative approach to the preparation of dishes from molecular cuisine; increasing interest in STEM education and applying what has been learned in practice; inclusion of people facing cultural, economic and geographical barriers; setting and using digital learning tools; implementing environmental and health practices. SO1 - building the capacity of partners for integrated cross-sectoral development of the educational process and VET using STEM technologies for the preparation of dishes from the molecular kitchen; SC2 - increasing professional and cultural competencies in the field of modern molecular cuisine by integrating the experience of partners in traditional cooking with the scientific approach of molecular cuisine; SO3 - promoting opportunities for VET development.
▶Activities
The STEM and Culinary Fantasies project is an innovative initiative at European level, aimed at promoting STEM education and preserving local identity, expanding cross-sectoral cooperation, developing and attracting general and vocational education. The bearer of the idea for launching partner engagements is PGTTH 'Nikola Dimov' as a Coordinator. The vocational school has identified an opportunity to expand its public participation by creating a small partnership with another type of VET provider. The idea of the Coordinator is to complement his capacity and experience from Erasmus+ KA1 with participation in KA2 by meeting the needs of general education in a STEM environment and increasing the attractiveness of restaurant professions. The organization finds that the initiative requires the involvement of other partners, VET providers, which will enable the development of culinary traditions in new directions at EU level and achieve not only the preservation of local identity, but also the provision of an inclusive effect by ensuring the comparability of the European culinary heritage.
