▶Objectives
The AddictionSTOP project aimed to improve the quality of addiction treatment and support services by promoting the use of experiential therapy approaches. Specifically, it aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of addiction treatment specialists, as well as to raise awareness and understanding of experiential therapy among stakeholders and the wider public, while reducing the harm caused by addiction and improving the well-being and quality of life of individuals and communities affected.
▶Activities
A1. Project management and supervision A2. Patterns of behavioural addiction (conducting research and analysis on the current state of addiction models and treatment, as well as identifying best practices and approaches. A3. Experiential therapy vessel (creating experiential therapy sessions and advocacy campaign actions on addiction treatment).
▶Impact
We developed and tested experiential therapy sessions tailored for addiction treatment, and created a training program that equipped professionals with new skills and methods. A research report on behavioural addiction patterns in Europe was completed, offering valuable insights and best practices. We also carried out an advocacy campaign to raise awareness about experiential therapy. These results strengthened our partners’ capacities, improved services for individuals with addiction, and laid the groundwork for ongoing collaboration across countries.
