Objectives

In the realm of sustainability & entrepreneurship, networking and learning spaces exist but many people face barriers to participation due to diverse backgrounds, genders, ages, physical or psychological challenges. Our aim was to create inclusive spaces that grants everyone access to expertise and collaborative learning opportunities. We wanted to promote local, innovative learning centers focusing on sustainability & entrepreneurship while increasing accessibility to adult education. Our goal was to provide resources & skills for our regions to develop their positive environmental impact. We focused on following results: - Creating open & inclusive spaces for collaborative coworking on sustainable entrepreneurial ideas. - Organizing free workshops for all citizens to develop entrepreneurial & sustainability skills. These workshops served as entry points for developing business ideas or concrete concepts. -Providing two cross-border workshops to facilitate learning & create synergies from different cultural contexts. - Increasing visibility for sustainability & entrepreneurship topics, promoting inclusiveness. - Introducing a labeling system to incentivize more inclusive learning environments and expand awareness for the topic

Activities

We implemented the following activities as planned: Open Space: Our coworking spaces were open one day per week to all interested individuals (Wednesdays in Karlsruhe, Mondays in Strasbourg), providing easy access to sustainability and entrepreneurship topics and the communities of Impact Hub Karlsruhe and SINGA Strasbourg, fostering inclusivity. “Impact Builder Workshop”: Tailored workshops were conducted at each location for specific groups such as women, elderly individuals, youth, unemployed individuals, migrants, and refugees. These workshops provided a platform to develop their ideas, particularly addressing environmental challenges. International exchange: We organized joint workshops at each location to facilitate mutual learning and exchange of ideas between communities. Communication Campaign: We designed and distributed flyers, and promoted activities through newsletters, emails, and direct outreach to target audiences. Labeling Spaces: We piloted a label for inclusive coworking spaces focusing on sustainability and entrepreneurship, assessing spaces and providing information to highlight their commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. All these activities were guided by the project management.
