▶Objectives
Co-CIVIC enhances the cooperation between VET institutions and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) by giving their teachers/tutors/staff the knowledge, skills and tools to co-design a project-based learning approach that equips students with the competences to ideate, design and develop (and/or prototype) social projects. In Co-CIVIC we understand social projects, as both tangible (i.e. social objects) and intangible (i.e. social innovation initiative or service) solutions.
▶Activities
Co-CIVIC provides customised training for VET teachers/tutors and CSO staff co-design and implement collaborative PBL projects for where they create projects that contribute to the social goals and impact of the CSOs involved. Co-CIVIC takes the students through a multi-disciplinary process, in which they, through training and guidance from the VET teacher/tutor and interaction and support from CSO staff, develop a social innovation project/initiaitive.
▶Impact
Co-CIVIC is evidence and empirical based, to ensure alignment with the real needs of the targeted groups. Deliverables: - on-line Teacher Training, with its learning content & skills assessment method; - Cooperation Handbook & Cooperation Resource and Space which support the PBL learning activities of students focused on developing/prototyping Social projects - online Accelerator for the the creation of work opportunities for the students and improvement the CSOs impact & activities
