Objectives

For the energy turnaround, many specialists need extensive further training that is illustrative and can be easily developed. The project goal is to make the use of extended reality (XR) easy and flexible for such training. For this purpose, the project aims at (1) Minimizing entry barriers for appropriate learning content, (2) developing exemplary learning units and (3) creating general XR templates that can be used directly in education and training.

Activities

- Analysis of the status quo and selection of use cases in which XR can be helpful - Creation of prototypes for XR templates that respond to technical questions posed by the use cases - Development and deployment of learning units on energy transition based on these templates - Testing, evaluation and optimization of the templates and the learning units - Dissemination of the results and support of teachers and SMEs in their use

Impact

- At least 10 learning units in the field of energy transition, based on the newly developed XR templates within the open-source learning software H5P. - A comprehensive evaluation of the use of the templates and learning units in further education events. - A guide for teachers on how to adapt, modify and use the templates for their own teaching needs. - A guide for SMEs on how to use this approach to support and dynamically develop training measures.
