Objectives

Through the implementation of the project, we aimed to break down prejudices and potential stereotypes towards different cultures, languages, and religions, and to promote acceptance of diversity and variety. Diversity was to be viewed as an enrichment, and social cohesion was to be strengthened. To achieve this, we worked with the students to identify and explore differences and similarities between cultural traditions and perceptions, recognizing them as enriching. An important aspect was the shift in perspective, allowing students to experience different life situations and become familiar with various realities of life. This helped raise the children’s awareness of the diverse experiences and backgrounds of their peers. The project fostered a respectful and mindful approach to people, regardless of their gender, origin, religion, appearance, age, or culture.

Activities

In our project, we carried out the activities outlined in the application: 1.Naming and recognizing all forms of racism and xenophobia as problems. 2.Promoting respect for culture and the recognition of diversity. 3.Promoting principles of respect and dialogue, viewing cultural diversity as an enrichment. 4.Moving from stereotypes to "living together." In addition to these activities, each partner school developed a culturally diverse program, through which the host schools gained insight into new ways of life and circumstances, as well as the opportunity to learn about local specialties, cultural customs, and rituals.

Impact

The final products of our project are listed below: 1. An e-book summarizing all the final products. 2. An Instagram page. 3. An eTwinning page. 4. A cultural travel guide, which reports on different foods, traditions, sports, as well as explaining national flags and landscapes. 5. Four newspapers will be created about the respective exchanges, reporting on the experiences. 6. Short films.
