Objectives

Young people in Europe seem to lose interest in politics. They feel that they are not heard or paid attention to. As partners we are convinced that they should do something about this development to protect democracy, its values and active citzenship. Since young people find it easier to approach issues in a creative way we will encourage them to create multi-media products to express themselves, make themselves heard on politcal matters. Against this background we provide them with "VOIMA".

Activities

The activities we're going to implement will focus on providing teenagers and their teachers with an expert knowledge on the design and realisation of different multi-media products, such as posters, photos, pieces of music, videos, podcasts. Moreover, some of the activities will also include input on politcal processes and institutions in the EU. The activities include young people meeting experts from various fields, gaining some hands-on experience and developing skills in self-expression.

Impact

The project intends to raise the awareness of the importance of the EU and how important it is to vote. Students will develop a better understanding of how the EU works and how they might attract attention to the issues that are important to them. In multinational teams young people exchange their ideas and visions of young people in terms of education and work. Together they will develop visions and take action on a more professional level. Partners will view the EU through teenagers' eyes.
