Objectives

The goal is to prevent the negative impact & influence of social media influencers on youth. This is part of the general efforts towards responsible use of the internet both by young people, but also the responsibility to provide online safety from the public institutions & private companies. It is the role of young workers to empower young people in critical thinking and media literacy. It is also their role to advocate based on the EU standards protecting young people on internet.

Activities

- Project management activities, including kick-off, mid-term and final evaluation online meetings - Toolkit, Curriculum and Online course; in 7 languages - Piloting the toolkit and online course - Local training courses for youth workers, based on the Curriculum - Multiplier events (5 national and 1 international conference) - Additional dissemination activities and meetings, as well as the Online hackaton on the topic of internet safety and the impact of influences.

- Toolkit for empowering youngsters in critical thinking and media literacy for prevention of negative impact of social media influencers - Curriculum: Empowering youth workers in creative methodology for prevention of negative impact of social media influencers on youth - Online course: Youth workers in advocacy action for implementation of European standards for protecting young people on the internet
