The project aimed to raise awareness about climate change and to help students become environmentally responsible citizens with a strong sense of European identity. It sought to connect scientific understanding with practical action, empowering participants to protect their environment and improve their quality of life. Main objectives included: β Promoting environmental literacy and sustainable habits in schools and families. β Encouraging collaboration between students, teachers, municipalities, and NGOs. β Integrating digital and research-based learning through projects such as the bioclimatic classroom, the meteorological station, and the biodiversity study of Rafina. β Strengthening intercultural dialogue and cooperation among partner countries. β Developing key competences such as communication, creativity, and teamwork. Through these goals, the project supported the priorities of the European Green Deal and the Erasmus+ vision for active, inclusive, and eco-conscious citizenship.

βΆImpact
The project produced concrete and lasting results in all partner schools. The 1st Gymnasio of Rafina created three scientific posters on light pollution, the bioclimatic classroom model, and weather data analysis, sharing methodologies of environmental research and collaborative learning with its partners. As a result, the schools continue their work through a eTwinning project, ensuring sustainability. Educational materials were developed, including the βLow Paper β Low Waste School Manualβ (Greece), the Methodological Handbook (Latvia), and the worksheet βFrom Clean Seas to Plastic Waves.β A Collaborative Padlet β World Environment Day collected creative outcomes from all countries. Videos were produced on World Water Day, the bioclimatic classroom, the reusable bottle campaign, the circular economy, and the interdisciplinary field activity at Marikes Beach. A scientific catalogue of floristic diversity in the βOchyroβ area of Rafina, under the supervision of the University of Athens, strengthened the link between school education and academic research. The project fostered cooperation with local authorities and long-term networks through eTwinning.
