Objectives

To improve the reading competence (CL), including the use of digital technologies, of disadvantaged young people and adults by identifying specific reading needs in their daily contexts and reading comprehension difficulties, developing motivational resources and support guidelines for teacher training on the associated cognitive strategies to improve teaching and learning. Identify reading needs and CL difficulties

Activities

Reading for comprehension:Identification of reading needs. Identification of comprehension difficulties and strategies to overcome them. Survey to assess CL difficulties in different media, with different types of texts and in different contexts. Working and reading: putting into practice cognitive strategies to work on CL. Now I understand and I tell you: teachers, participants will elaborate a poster of recommendations and a guide of tools and recommendations.

Impact

The results are: 1º: For students and teachers involved improvement of CL, environmental awareness, knowledge, contrast and training in specific cognitive strategies, communicative competences through the development of a joint project with activities aimed at improving and directly influencing CL. 2º A guide with the results of the project for educators in the languages of each entity and English.
