Objectives

The goals that were set were realistic and highly focused on achieving short- and medium-term results. - Raise awareness about the urgency of addressing environmental problems through education. - Promote individual and collective responsibility for environmental challenges. - Identify problems and possible solutions to the most worrying environmental situations: water scarcity, air pollution, desertification, landfills and waste, habitat destruction. - Raise awareness about the benefits of recycling, renewable energy, and other less invasive strategies for our planet. - Develop common strategies and lines of action among participating schools for the future.

Activities

The project activities were carried out through three in-person mobility projects to Spain, Latvia, and Turkey, in which five teachers from each school participated in collaboration with the student ambassadors from each school. Prior to the in-person activities for each mobility project, there were a series of online preparatory activities, and we also held activities after each mobility project. The activities were organized over a five-day period and focused on a specific topic through expert talks, workshops, presentations, case studies, and visits to the surrounding areas: Spain Mobility: Environmental Pollution Latvia Mobility: Renewable and Non-Renewable Energies Turkey Mobility: Water Scarcity: Causes and Prevention

Impact

The results achieved for this project are: -Recognizing the importance of environmental education in educational settings. -Carrying out realistic and practical activities that address environmental challenges, involving various members from our school environment at both local and regional levels. -Developing collaborative and active methodologies based on learning situations that provide solutions, resources, and strategies leading to a greener and more sustainable future. -Raising awareness of good and bad environmental practices in order to promote the former and eliminate the latter. -Creating bonds of unity and collaboration among the project partners. -Disseminating the results of our activities at all levels. -Paving the way for future projects that delve deeper into the issues we have raised.
