This project fosters a comprehensive,sustainable approach to gender equality in early childhood education.Our primary goal was to equip children aged 3-6 with critical thinking skills to challenge gender stereotypes and explore their identities in safe,supportive learning environments.For educators,we sought to enhance pedagogical competencies by providing evidence-based tools and methodologies for integrating gender equality,human rights,and inclusive practices into daily activities.The project also engaged families as active partners,raising their awareness of gender-sensitive education and encouraging supportive behaviors at home.Institutionally,we developed innovative educational materials and frameworks adaptable across partner countries,promoting a culture of inclusivity within kindergartens.Through transnational collaboration,sharing best practices,and creating multilingual resources,we strengthened stakeholder capacity,ensuring a lasting impact on children’s development while contributing to UN SDG Goals 4 & 5 and advancing EU objectives for gender equality in education.

Our project implemented transnational learning activities for gender equality in early childhood education.The “Be Inclusive,Be Equal–Gender Equality Workshop” provided a foundation in gender concepts,stereotypes,and strategies for egalitarian learning environments.The “Educational Package Workshop” focused on developing teaching materials,lesson plans,and toolkits integrating gender-sensitive approaches and human rights education.The “Creative Digital Gender-Sensitive Labs” explored innovative digital methods to engage children in challenging gender roles and fostering critical thinking.The “How to Make It Better Workshop” encouraged reflection on best practices,experience sharing,and refining pedagogical strategies.A “Virtual Info Day” allowed for broad dissemination of outcomes and engagement with stakeholders like teachers,parents,and community members.These activities collectively strengthened educator competencies,empowered children to examine social norms,and fostered family-institution collaboration for sustainable impact in promoting inclusive,gender-sensitive education.

Through the project mobilities,we achieved significant tangible outputs and strengthened capacities in gender equality education.By the “Be Inclusive,Be Equal – Gender Equality Workshop” (Belgium),12 teachers developed 40 gender-sensitive lesson plans,a glossary of alternative concepts,thematic non-gendered games,and a guidebook for teacher education.By the “Educational Package Workshop” (Spain),partners created 40 case studies,risk maps,good practice examples,parent-participation e-booklets,and classroom organization brochures.By the “Creative Digital Gender-Sensitive Labs” (France),teachers produced 40 digital games,12 alternative digital tales,and flashcards to promote inclusive digital learning.By the “How to Make It Better Workshop” (Turkey),participants refined pedagogical strategies,developed five-year school-level gender equality plans,and prepared QR-coded dissemination materials.Finally,the “Virtual Info Day” engaged 400 stakeholders,sharing lesson plans,digital tools,and e-booklets.Collectively,these activities enhanced teachers’ competencies,empowered children to challenge stereotypes,involved families,and ensured sustainable,transferable impact across partner institutions and early childhood education settings.
