โถObjectives
Project DACEM aims to provide an open-source software and cloud platform for online Course Catalogues (CCs) following ECTS Usersโ Guide. This will enable European HEIs to make course information available in an accessible, complete, consistent, timely, and interoperable way, supporting students to search mobility options. The provided software would support the integration with existing tools available in the context of Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) and Online Learning Agreement (OLA) initiatives.
โถActivities
Main activities are a comprehensive mapping on the current situation regarding existing CCs, an analysis of end-user and stakeholder needs and adoption of new technologies to develop a CC open-source solution and cloud platform. Software development will follow an agile methodology with short sprints and incremental outcomes. After each sprint, software outputs will be delivered to final users to test the functionality and provide feedback. A final validation with real testing will be performed.
โถImpact
DACEM will improve the mobility of students in European HEIs by providing a CC solution with accessible, consistent, timely and interoperable information. The DACEM CC solution will allow information to be connected together and interpreted by machines, enabling students to search for the most appropriate courses and offering interoperability with EWP and OLA mobility tools. HEIs will be supported on the sustainable population and maintenance of updated course and institutional information.
