▶Objectives
The objectives of this project are: To enable adults, beginners or advanced, to discover and learn to play the harp or to deepen their technical and musical knowledge. To collaborate with other institutions (partner conservatories, music schools, associations) to broaden the audience and the range of offerings. To develop musicality by fostering musical listening, a sense of rhythm, and harmony through chamber music workshops. To give students the opportunity to study on exceptional instruments and discover the different families of harps and their specific characteristics. To learn to practice independently and progress outside of classes, workshops, and stages. To foster exchanges between participants and create a community around the harp. To enable each participant to play a simple melody at the end of the workshop or stage and perform it during the final concert.
▶Activities
As part of our project, we have implemented various activities: Masterclasses taught by renowned professors from partner conservatories (M. Barrera Oro from ESMUC Barcelona and Annie Lavoisier from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels), internationally renowned professors (Chantal Mathieu, Alexander Boldachev...), and professors from local conservatories (CRR of Montpellier, CRI of Sète and Béziers). Thematic workshops focusing on specific aspects of the harp (techniques, repertoire, composition, arrangement, improvisation...). Intensive training courses during school holidays and at specific times of the year, depending on the availability of learners and teachers. The creation of music ensembles, bringing together harpists and other instrumentalists to play together and perform in public. Days dedicated to exploring the musical culture linked to the practice of the harp and other artistic disciplines (dance, theater, visual arts, computer-assisted music). Participation of students in events by integrating them into the program of the festival organized by Clave de Sol and other events.
