โถObjectives
Our goal: to create a connection between educators and artists who, through innovative and inclusive approaches, will contribute to a better quality of education. This benefits everyone, especially vulnerable groups. Theater thus becomes a powerful tool for improving the quality of education. This project combines art and adult education to create a more inclusive, accessible, and creative learning environment, particularly for vulnerable groups. The main objective: to highlight the benefits of artistic approaches, particularly theater, in non-formal and informal education. "From Art to the World" aims not only to transfer knowledge but also to create a space for the exchange of experiences and best practices between partners from different backgrounds. Short videos will serve as a practical resource to help instructors integrate artistic approaches into their teaching practices, particularly with participants facing social/medical challenges. This project is further proof that art is more than just an aesthetic experience: it is a path to connection, understanding and growth.
โถActivities
We carried out six activities with a team of four participants from each country: two remotely, two in Slovenia, and two in France over two years. Activity 1 (remote): review of the project's fundamentals, timeline, and budget; icebreaking games. Activity 2 "To observe" (Slovenia) โ cooking and Slovenian language workshops (migrants) โ folk dancing (adults with disabilities) โ performance by Roma families, shared meal โ traditional games (seniors). Activity 3 "To create" (France): theater workshops: a tool for social inclusion (artists/trainers) โ performance in the Crรฉa'Bus. Activity 4 "To try" (Slovenia): theater workshops with the long-term unemployed, seniors, adults with special needs, migrants, and ZIK teachers. Activity 5 "To conclude" (France): Tabletop games, mind gym, folk dances, traditional Slovenian games with adults with motor and/or intellectual disabilities. Activity 6 (remote): Final report โ Project closure in the form of games โ Presentation of the videos produced During each activity: Preparation of the next activity โ Budget review โ Communication โ Dissemination โ Cultural visits โ Local food
โถImpact
With the activities implemented, the eight direct beneficiaries acquired new knowledge. They are now concretely applying the methodologies they learned to their students. The trainers discovered how traditional theatrical and folkloric games can be used to support their audiences in the learning process. These practices are available online (11 short videos): "Getting Started" - "Follow the Touch" - "Rhythmic Chain" - "Pose and Phrase" - "Human Knot" - "Name and Ball" - "Three in a Row" - "Village Dance" - "Heaven Hopper" - "Throw the Goat" - "Brain Gym" - Numerous photos cover each activity. We collected feedback from participants, support staff from partner organizations, and their beneficiaries. The project successfully highlighted the benefits of an artistic approach in non-formal and informal education, demonstrating its effectiveness in fostering social inclusion, self-expression, and active citizenship among vulnerable target groups. Participants improved their language skills.
